Cheltenham Festival

As a tribute to the Cheltenham Festival we have dedicated this blog to the greatest four-day event in the calendar*.
*Biased opinion as I’m up after three races.

A staggering £500m is expected to be wagered on Cheltenham this week, but how many people actually understand what they are doing? We at Locker Room like to take the pressure off the whole process by making our own fun with pretend money instead.  For the second year running, we’re running an office virtual betting Cheltenham competition.

Here’s how it works:

1.       Everyone is given a virtual bank of £100.
2.       You must bet every day.
3.       Pick your runners for the day and submit them to me by midday on the day of racing.
4.       Submit your horse name, the odds and the bookie.
5.       The person with the highest balance at the end of the week wins a meal for two!

Please shout us with any tips and let us know how you get on… We’ll let you know the winners and losers at the end of the week.

Although the above is for fun, here’s the other side of the fence (pun intended) on Cheltenham betting, click here.
